His Story

Jeremie was born in 1981 in Vancouver. His childhood was very adventure full, with dirt bikes, skateboarding, video games and getting into trouble like 'boys' do. Broken collar bones, long flowing hair, numerous skate boarding injuries.
He grew up in Duncan as a child and teen. He moved to the mainland when he was a young adult to work for a few years as a garbage man. In 2010 he moved back to the Island.......

They first met 2006 in Lake Cowichan through Shannons best friend Alexandra (Lulu) and her boyfriend - Jeremie's brother Jai.
Then they met again in 2011 at Jai and Alex's house in Duncan BC. At that time, Jeremie lived in Duncan, and Shannon lived in Victoria so she would drive up on weekends with her dog Wesley and hang out, playing cards (Uno), and stuff.
Jeremie fixed his broken truck so he could take her driving, he showed her cool places for her photography by rivers and in the forests. Then he bought a camera so they could spend more time together.
In 2011 Jeremie moved down to Victoria to be closer to Shannon, got a job at Princess Auto in Langford and their relationship blossomed.
When not working, their days were spent at the river with a picnic, outside somewhere taking pictures, or day trips around the BC. Hornby, Strathcona Park, Campbell River, Chilliwack, Radium Hot Springs, Tofino, and that is how they fell in love................
In March 2011 they moved in together and decided to try for a family. God blessed them with a baby boy on October 22, 2012. They named him Jax Carter .
After Jax turned 8 months, they moved to Happy Valley in a nice big home with a yard and are very happy to start their married life out there.

Her Story

Shannon was born in 1975 in Hamilton Ontario. Her father passed away in 1978 and she, her sister and mother moved to Vancouver Island in 1979.
She grew up on a farm Metchosin and Sooke with an early love for music and performing. She learned to play guitar and taught herself piano. She and her sister became The Ireland Sisters, making their first television debut in 1988 for a fundraiser with Folk Signer Valdy.
She performed professionally around island singing from 1996 - 2010 in a Greatest Hits Las Vegas Review Show.
She became a professional photographer in 2009 and that was the activity that brought Jeremie and Shannon together.
